It was established following a need to bring together Mental Health, Sexuality, Disability, Gender and associated services.
In addition, Fig Leaf has been supporting and supplying therapeutic medical rehabilitation aids to patients for the past 7 years.
Receiving regular referrals from hospitals, urologists, physiotherapists & various health professionals across Australia, Rachel has established herself as the go-to outlet for rehabilitation aids.
This includes services to a span of patients including prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, breast cancer, gynaecological, transgender requirements and other health needs.
Being respectful and aware of cultural differences, sexuality & individual experiences, Rachel’s mix of humour and comprehension makes for engaging presentations.
Rachel possesses a keen interest in removing the stigma surrounding Mental Illness (in particular Suicide), and is skilled at normalising sexuality & relationship topics including sex work and disability.
She possesses an enthusiasm and interest in the LGBTIQ community, and specifically Transgender health and issues.
Rachel’s broad experience includes roles as Facilitator, Educator, Business Owner/Operator, Sexual enhancement/Rehabilitation consultant, as well as previous involvement in the Health & Fitness industry.
Ongoing Professional Development ensures Rachel is up-to-date with current research & she is inclined to explore areas that are usually considered taboo, but that are necessary to start conversations about.
Future professional achievements will allow for Rachel to further explore Womens’ Mental Health, with an emphasis on Perinatal/Postnatal Depression & Anxiety.
As the Fig Leaf Consulting progresses through the year, so too will new services be expanded within the related services offered.
Please contact Rachel direct for further information on any of the topics noted within this website.
